Characters of bacteria
* Cell wall is found in bacteria
* They are also found in ice and hot water springs at temperatures up to 80°C.
* Bacteria is the simplest, simplest and unicellular, primitive organism.
* Bacteria is cosmopolitan organism, they live on water, land, air, living and dead plants and animals.
* Plastids, mitochondria, golgi complex, endoplasmic reticulam, etc. are not found in these cells.
* The incipient nucleus does not have a common chromosome but contains DNA, but does not contain histone proteins. DNA is circular and its group is called nucleoid or genophore.
* The bactria cell does not have a nuclear membrane around the nucleus and there is no nucleolus, the nuclear material present in the cytoplasm is called incipient nucleus and such cell is called prokaryotic cell.
In these, the cytoplasm is folded inward at some places to form mesosomes. These contain respiratory enzymes that participate in respiration.
* There are types of Ribosomes70S of bacteria which are free in organisms and they also remain as polysome or polyribosome.
* Photosynthetic autotrophic bacteria do not have a chloroplast-like structure, but many thylakoids with a unilamellate structure are scattered in the organism.
* Sexual reproduction in bacteria is not caused by clear gametes fusions. These include changes in genetic traits by various methods of genetic recombination. Their sexual reproduction is expressed by conjugation transformation and transduction.
* Generation in these is usually by split-binary fission. Which is a type of amitotic division. Sometimes spores are also formed
